General announcement no. 1 — all Company R.O.s called to convene for Pilgrimage 2012

Company X.O. Michael Ehinger has called all R.O.s [responsible officers] of the august corps of St. Rene’s friends to meet as is customary, the day before step-off.

Please remember to bring along a copy of the letter of St. Isaac, downloadable here.

St. René and the 14th rule of St. Ignatius

In this one-page .doc file, the Company’s spiritual Father, Rev. James Doran OMV, presents a very short meditation of St. René Goupil and St. Ignatius’ 14th rule — about the wiles of the evil one.

All the members of the Company are asked to download the .doc file, to read it attentively, and to join Father Doran in prayer at the end of the reading.

A short meditation on St. René as a Jesuit/pilgrim donné

In this second audio file, the Company’s spiritual Father, Rev. James Doran OMV, presents a very short (7 minute) meditation of St. René Goupil considered in his position and work as a Jesuit donné — as compared and contrasted to the “engagés” who also served the Jesuit missioners.
